Move Over Turkey...Bring on the Sweet Treats!

Good Evening Everyone! With Thanksgiving just a few days away I felt it would be a good time to post some delicious sweet treat ideas for the holiday. Some of these I have personally tried, however; there are a few that I haven't had the pleasure of tasting. Top off your turkey dinner with something mouth-watering before you call it a day and hit the bed for an afternoon nap!

PUMPKIN PIE- This is my personal favorite. As mentioned in other posts, just about anything pumpkin wins with me. I like to add a dollop of cool whip on top of my slice, just another way to sweeten the tasty treat!

PECAN PIE-  This happens to be my daughter's favorite dessert on Thanksgiving. This year she has actually requested a whole pie be made just for her. I have to say, I think it is quite amazing myself!

BANANA PUDDING- Oh, the banana pudding! In my home, this is my hubby's top favorite, he considers it a must have, especially on Thanksgiving!

CHEESE CAKE- You can't go wrong with this dessert! Cheese cake is amazing and there are my flavors of this dessert, so I'm sure there is one out there everyone can enjoy!

APPLE PIE- The good ole' American apple pie! I love apple pie...that's all I have to say about that!!

These are just a few of the desserts that is made especially for the Thanksgiving season. Be sure to save room to enjoy these amazingly delicious treats to top off your family dinner...

Until Next Time....♥ HAPPY THANKSGIVING♥

Just About Anything Pumpkin Spice!

Good Morning! Once again I find myself up and wake after 1 O'clock a.m. This is nothing new for me lately, I have been having a horrible time sleeping. Although I find it quiet and peaceful at this time, I would much rather be sleeping, but once again, this is not the case.

As you can tell by the picture I posted above, I have pumpkin spice on my mind. I absolutely love just about anything pumpkin spice, especially pumpkin spice cappuccino! Our local convenience store only seems to sell it in October and November, but I could drink it all year long!

Is everyone gearing up for Thanksgiving next week? I know I am. I love this holiday, it's a great time for family, friends and lots of good food! Even though there is a lot of cooking involved with Thanksgiving, it is well worth the work put into the feast! I bet you could guess my favorite dessert...pumpkin pie, of course!

I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and enjoys the company and great food!

Until next time....♥

Turkey & Pumpkin Pie...Oh My!!

Good Sunday Morning!

I woke up this morning to the smell of coffee and the sound of rain. With the temp in the 30's and rain, coffee is just what I need! Everyone here is still curled up in bed snoozing, I am the only one up and around. With just the sound of my fan humming, I sit here enjoying my quiet time, sipping my warm coffee.

With a variety of topics swimming around in my head, I am trying to decide what to write about this morning. The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is the upcoming holiday, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. I look forward to spending time with family and friends, a delicious meal with turkey, dressing and all the trimmings, as well as pumpkin pie and banana pudding!

Wow! Just writing about that makes me want to avoid the scale for the next month! That's the only downfall I see to these holidays, the food is amazing, but your body possibly packs n a few extra pounds. I bet the local gym's get a lot of business after the new year! Everyone wants to hit the tredmills running, trying to recover from all the great food they were tempted with between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Well, it's time to refill my coffee cup. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Until next time....♥

Fall Leaves & Family

Hello Everyone! I know it's late, but the urge to write something just hit me! I was out riding today with my hubby heading to my dad's house to visit my youngest grandbaby and when we turned on the side road towards his house, I noticed all the beautiful fall colored leaves filling the trees. I absolutely love the colors of this season.

After our visit, we headed back to town and took care of some needed errands and then grabbed us a bite to eat before coming back home. I know it doesn't sound like an action packed day, but I really enjoyed it. I spent time with my youngest grandbaby and my oldest grandbaby also got to spend time with her little sister! I miss my middle grandbaby, due to circumstances beyond my control I haven't seen her in a few weeks. I pray everything works out and that changes.  In additon to that, I spent time with my dad and stepmom. I love my family and spending time with them, if only at time for just a few minutes is a highlight to my day.

My two children moved to Nashville and I miss them very much! I don't get to see them as often as I used too :( I know, children grow up and move away, but I just wasn't ready for that. But, they seem to be doing good.

Well, as mentioned earlier, it is getting late. I am going to log off here and get some rest. I hope everyone has a great night...

Until next time.....♥
