Nashville, Tennessee: The Place to Be!

Nashville, Tennessee is widely known as the country music capital! Filled with record labels, recording studios and a variety of shops on Broadway, Nashville is always the life of the party all through the year.

With the winter season upon us, there is still numerous activities to take part in while visiting. So, tighten up your boot straps and zip up your coat and lets take a look at a few places that are great to visit during the winter months.

The Grand Ole Opry- This historical landmark is the home of country music. Started in 1925 on radio, this establishment has became the number one place in Nashville. With so many legends playing on the famous stage from Johnny Cash to Carrie Underwood, the Opry holds so many special moments in history from 1925 to present.

Backstage tours are available to those seeking to take a walk down memory lane of all the musical greats. The Opry offers three types of  tours, the first being the Daytime tour. In addition, there is the Post-Show tour and the VIP Tour. Visit the Grand Ole Opry and enjoy a tour and be sure to catch a show while your in the house of country music.

Opry Mills- Having personally visited this location, this is the perfect place to purchase souvenirs from your trip, as well as dine on some great food. Also housed in Opry Mills is an IMAX theater, and for all those arcade lovers out there, there's a Dave & Buster's.

The Adventure Science Center- This educational center offers 44,000 square feet of space related exhibits. Children of all ages can enjoy state-of-the-art shows and events about space. With a lot of hands on activities, the science center is a great stop on your tour of Nashville, as well as a great learning experience for all that visit.

Broadway- For those of you who are not afraid to brave the cold temperatures, walking Broadway is a trip down country music lane. Both sides of the street is filled with gift shops, restaurants, Bars and more. While browsing, the air is filled with music, both live and on radio. If you find yourself walking Broadway, be sure to bring your camera, there is so much to see and so many things to photograph!

What are you waiting for? Plan your trip to Nashville now. With so much to see and do, I'm sure you will be planning a second trip for the summer months! Happy Touring!

Coffee, Visiting & Bill Paying...

Good Evening Everyone! Today has been an eventful day for me. This morning was great cause my hubby watched my grandbaby so I could sleep in. I haven't been able to sleep good lately, so sleeping in was wonderful!
After having a few cups of coffee and getting dressed I went to visit a sick friend of mine that I haven't been able to see in a while. She has spent the last six weeks in the hospital and was finally able to return home last night.
Later this afternoon, we all loaded up and went to town to pay bills. Agh, I really dislike paying bills, but it is what it is :(

Now I am sitting home at my kitchen table on my hubby's laptop while my grandbaby watches Lilo & Stitch. I think this is such a cute cartoon, and Stitch is my favorite character. I remember when my kids were little they used to watch this cartoon.

So, how was everyone else's Saturday afternoon? Let me know how ya"ll are doing, I love to hear everyone"s comments!

Until Next Time...
